Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shin Asuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Asuka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ping Pong! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pong lands a head kick!
Asuka misses with a takedown attempt - Pong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pong throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Asuka clinches up with Pong and pushes him back against the cage. Asuka gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Asuka tries a knee to the head but Pong blocks it.
Pong wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Pong scores with a nice hook to the head. Asuka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Asuka moves in looking to clinch but Pong pushes him off. Asuka shoots in and drives through. Pong sprawls well. Pong circles away from the clinch attempt.
Asuka avoids the head kick by Pong.
Asuka lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pong connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Asuka to the floor! Pong dives in looking for the finish!
It looks like Shin Asuka has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pong prevents Asuka from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pong is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Asuka is trying to stand.
Asuka preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Asuka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Asuka looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Asuka keeping hold of Pong's head, controlling as best he can. Asuka wants to get back to full guard but Pong has mounted him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Asuka is wriggling around trying to escape.
Asuka tries to lock up and control but Pong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ping Pong dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shin Asuka's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pong tries a head kick but it misses.
Asuka has taken the fight to the clinch.
Asuka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Asuka moves into the clinch successfully.
Asuka tries for a takedown but Pong manages to get underhooks.
Pong working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Asuka missing with knees to the body.
Asuka works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Asuka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pong is keeping the position for now. Asuka wants to stand but Pong has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pong wants to stand but Asuka is controlling the position. Asuka stays in close to Pong's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pong is looking to stand up but Asuka isn't so interested in that idea. Asuka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pong is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Asuka trying to control but Pong is working from the bottom. Asuka sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Asuka is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Asuka takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Pong takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A head kick misses from Asuka. Asuka instigates a clinch. Asuka misses with a knee strike.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pong taking a breather. Pong manages to break the clinch.
Asuka tries to close the distance and clinch but Pong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Asuka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Asuka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pong paws at him with a jab and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shin Asuka dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Shin Asuka's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Nice body kick there by Asuka. Asuka has closed the distance and engaged Pong in a clinch.
A body shot lands from Asuka.
Pong tries to score a body lock takedown but Asuka shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Asuka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Asuka looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Asuka content to control rather than advance. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Asuka prevents Pong from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asuka decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Asuka gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Asuka has hold of one of Pong's legs. Pong is fighting the takedown attempt but Asuka gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Asuka wants to stand but Pong has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Asuka won't allow Pong to get back to his feet. Asuka decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pong, up you get!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Asuka gets the takedown into side control. Asuka remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Asuka tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Asuka stands up and beckons Pong to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Shin Asuka showed his dominance in that final round. I think Asuka has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
