PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arms Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reese McLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ghetto Techno. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McLeod tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Banks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McLeod throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

McLeod gets underhooks to prevent Banks's takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Arms Banks will probably get the nod.

and Banks counters with a series of strikes. McLeod will be more careful next time no doubt.

Banks fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McLeod throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Banks.

Banks will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning McLeod up against the cage.

Banks tries to stand but McLeod is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banks drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McLeod manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Banks has McLeod in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Banks is trying to keep McLeod in close.

Banks had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McLeod is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Banks Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McLeod's back instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Banks is looking for the choke from the back position but McLeod is controlling his hands well.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
What can McLeod do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

I would just about give that final round to Reese McLeod.
I think McLeod has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
