Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zane Rutledge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Manutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Zane Rutledge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aaron Manutz!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutledge fails with a takedown attempt.

Manutz gets a clinch.
Manutz is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Manutz keeps control of Rutledge as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manutz scores with a shoulder strike.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Manutz.
Still in the clinch, Manutz scores with a nice short uppercut.
Rutledge tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Rutledge blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Rutledge pulls guard successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Manutz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Manutz controls from within his opponent's guard.

Manutz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rutledge is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Manutz, into his guard.

Manutz has his hands on Rutledge's head, controlling the position.
Rutledge stands up over Manutz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rutledge throws a strike but Manutz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Manutz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Rutledge working for a triangle but Manutz defends it easily.
Manutz showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Manutz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rutledge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Manutz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rutledge working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Manutz has passed into half guard!
Manutz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Manutz passes into side control, despite Rutledge's attempt to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rutledge wants to control but Manutz postures up.
Rutledge seems a little lost for a moment, as Manutz dominates the positioning.

Manutz is trying to get an arm triangle but Rutledge is defending well.
Manutz happy to just control the position for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Let's hope that Manutz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Manutz dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Manutz throws a jab but it's blocked by Rutledge.
Aaron Manutz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rutledge gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Manutz lands with a good body shot.

Manutz closes the distance and pushes Rutledge back into the cage.

Manutz manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Rutledge. No joy for Manutz on that attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manutz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rutledge steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Manutz.
Rutledge really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Manutz gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rutledge wants to get back to striking at distance but Manutz won't allow it.
Rutledge wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Manutz has him pressed against the cage.

Rutledge is rocked!
Rutledge wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Oh Rutledge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rutledge can't break the clinch.
Manutz dips a shoulder and cracks Rutledge with a mighty uppercut! Rutledge falls back against the cage and Manutz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rutledge is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Manutz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aaron Manutz!
