The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Biles misses with a takedown attempt - Newton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Biles's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Newton connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Biles scrambles back to his feet.
Biles throws a jab but it's blocked by Newton.

Biles dives in and grabs Newton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Newton pushes down on Biles's head and hops out.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Biles postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Newton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Biles, into his guard.
