The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maverick closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Margera quickly recovers to half guard.

Margera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Maverick sprawls well initially but Margera persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Margera wants to stand and escape but Maverick is having none of it.
Margera is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Maverick presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Maverick is trying to break the clinch but Margera is controlling him.
Margera has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Maverick clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Margera is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Maverick up.
Maverick is trying to defend against the choke here but Margera has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Margera Tightens the hold and Maverick taps out furiously! Margera displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
