Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jared Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Blackley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Power Rangers Theme Song. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jared Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Derek Blackley! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blackley but Blackley pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Blackley is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones works his way into side control. Jones tries for a kimura but Blackley is defending well. Jones is breathing heavily. Blackley manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jones prevents Blackley from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackley looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Blackley gets back to full guard.
Jones looking to pass the guard. Blackley throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Blackley looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into half guard.

Blackley wants to sweep but no luck. Blackley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard. Blackley holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Blackley defends it well. Blackley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Blackley can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blackley is trying to get back to full guard. Blackley is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Blackley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blackley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jones works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackley is controlling an arm, preventing Jones from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Blackley looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Jones doesn't have the hooks in and Blackley manages to turn into his guard.
Blackley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Blackley tries to score with some ground and pound. Jones controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Blackley throwing strikes but Jones manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Blackley is trying to improve his position. Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. You can see the frustration on Blackley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blackley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Blackley regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones works his foot free and advances to mount. Blackley defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones. Jones has control of Blackley's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blackley regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jared Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Blackley with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blackley, who protects the arm well. Jones moves into full mount! Blackley is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Jones jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Blackley manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blackley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Blackley is breathing heavily. Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blackley has escaped the position, nice work there.

Not really close to a finish though. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Blackley sneaks out the side door and pushes Jones away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Jones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blackley tries to improve position but can't. Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blackley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Blackley is trying to improve his position. Jones tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Blackley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jones is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Blackley off and has taken his back! Blackley tries to roll but Jones sticks to his back.
Jones looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Blackley taps!
