Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lon Pruitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthew Ryan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lon Pruitt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Ryan! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pruitt avoids the head kick by Ryan.
Ryan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Pruitt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pruitt shoots in and gets a takedown into Ryan's guard. Ryan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Pruitt gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pruitt displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ryan up against the cage. Ryan has had enough of the clinch but Pruitt keeps him there for the moment. Pruitt manages to pull guard.
Pruitt throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Pruitt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ryan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pruitt pulls Ryan in close to his closed guard and prevents Ryan from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pruitt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ryan is aware though and is defending well. Ryan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pruitt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pruitt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pruitt is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ryan trying to control from the bottom.
Pruitt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ryan's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pruitt not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ryan wants to control but Pruitt is keeping busy.
Ryan taking some punishment here, with Pruitt in his half guard. Pruitt is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Pruitt is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ryan has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Pruitt escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Pruitt! Pruitt working the head and body with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ryan is not in a great position here, taking some shots. We've been informed that Ryan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Pruitt grinds an elbow into Ryan's temple. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pruitt controlling from side mount. Pruitt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pruitt working the ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryan taking punishment in the form of punches.
Pruitt is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ryan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Ryan dodges the ground and pound from Pruitt. Pruitt connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ryan some visible discomfort.
Pruitt landing a few strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pruitt in side control lands a decent elbow. Ryan wants to get back to his feet but Pruitt is dominant here and he's now got Ryan's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pruitt closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ryan to the mat! Ryan manages to get full guard. Ryan has momentary wrist control but Pruitt slips an elbow through the middle. Pruitt throwing strikes but missing. Pruitt with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pruitt scoring with punches to the head and body. Pruitt lands a couple of elbows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pruitt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ryan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pruitt showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Ryan is breathing heavily. Pruitt drops an elbow to the side of Ryan's head. Lon Pruitt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ryan won't allow Pruitt to pass to mount. Pruitt is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ryan is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pruitt takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pruitt is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ryan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ryan is looking to improve his position.

Ryan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ryan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Nice strikes from Pruitt there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pruitt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pruitt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Pruitt scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Pruitt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ryan is looking to control Pruitt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ryan avoid being mounted? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Well, if Pruitt is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lon Pruitt dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Pruitt drives through with a takedown into Ryan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Pruitt cracks Ryan with a solid left hand. Pruitt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ryan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pruitt is aware though and is defending well. Ryan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pruitt trying to control the position from guard on top but Ryan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pruitt preventing the sweep. Ryan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pruitt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Pruitt is nestled in close to Ryan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ryan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pruitt scores with a couple of nice shots. Pruitt prevents Ryan from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pruitt looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pruitt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ryan for as long as he can get away with. Pruitt working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ryan has hold of Pruitt's hands but Pruitt slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Pruitt lands strikes from half guard. Pruitt working the head and body with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ryan is looking to get back to is feet but Pruitt passes into side control.
Pruitt is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ryan's shoulder. That is not cool. Ryan is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Pruitt creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Pruitt lands some shots froms side control. Pruitt lands a nice forearm strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pruitt working the ground and pound. Ryan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ryan wants to get back to his feet. Ryan is looking to reverse the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ryan being controlled for a moment. Matthew Ryan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lon Pruitt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ryan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that's the end of the fight! Lon Pruitt showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pruitt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
