Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between KingMO Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monroe Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law moves forwards but Hicks connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Law shoots in but no luck this time.
Hicks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Law pinned against the cage. Law gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hicks is looking to land body kicks.
Law keeps the fight on the outside.
Law lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hicks will feel that in the morning.

Hicks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hicks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Law is one step ahead there.
Hicks has Law pulled in close to control his posture.
Law throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hicks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hicks wants to get back to his feet but Law is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Law stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hicks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Law shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hicks's guard.
Law postures up in Hicks's guard and throws a big left but Hicks blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Law is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hicks should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Law changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hicks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hicks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Law sprawls well initially but Hicks persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
