Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Desmond Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Martinez! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch gets tackled into the cage by Martinez. Martinez maintains the clinch. Martinez pulls guard effortlessly. Martinez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lynch defends well. Martinez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lynch's guard. Martinez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Martinez pushes down on Lynch's leg and manages to get into half guard. Martinez missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martinez escapes and gets back to his feet. Martinez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Martinez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lynch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lynch really is a fat lump. Martinez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lynch sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Martinez working away. Martinez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lynch some visible discomfort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch reaches up around Martinez's neck trying to control. But Martinez takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Lynch! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Lynch is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Martinez celebrates the victory with the fans!
