Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santo Fitzgerald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moussa Seck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santo Fitzgerald has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Santo Fitzgerald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moussa Seck!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seck gets caught flat footed, as Fitzgerald shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Seck has his feet on Fitzgerald's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Seck pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Seck rushes Fitzgerald and presses him up against the cage.
Seck wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Seck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fitzgerald keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fitzgerald throws a counter high kick but Seck was just alert enough to avoid it.
Fitzgerald leaves Seck with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Seck closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fitzgerald is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Seck takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Seck is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fitzgerald is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Seck defends well.

Fitzgerald is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fitzgerald could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Seck with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Seck keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fitzgerald's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fitzgerald might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Seck would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Fitzgerald has his foot on Seck's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Seck works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Seck fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fitzgerald to the ground. Seck is now in Fitzgerald's guard.

Seck might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fitzgerald haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Seck postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fitzgerald looks a forlorn figure.

Seck is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fitzgerald can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Fitzgerald is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Seck controlling the position easily from mount.
Fitzgerald is in a horrible position here. Seck smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fitzgerald tries to lock up and control but Seck gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moussa Seck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Fitzgerald closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Seck sneaks out the side door and pushes Fitzgerald away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

It looks like Santo Fitzgerald has been cut.
Fitzgerald prevents the takedown attempt.
Santo Fitzgerald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moussa Seck.
Fitzgerald stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Seck takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Seck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Seck tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fitzgerald sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Seck somewhat.

Seck shoots in for a takedown but Fitzgerald shows good takedown defense.
Fitzgerald was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Seck tries to clinch but Fitzgerald is having none of it.

Fitzgerald closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fitzgerald lands in his opponent's guard.

Seck has Fitzgerald pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fitzgerald manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Seck is trying to escape back to his feet but Fitzgerald uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Fitzgerald tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fitzgerald has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

I think Seck has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
