Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vince Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosma Svendsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svendsen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rocky. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vince Savage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cosma Svendsen! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Vince Savage has been cut. Svendsen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Savage wants to get back to his feet but Svendsen is dominant here and he's now got Savage's back! Svendsen keeps control of the position easily here as Savage tries to buck him off.
I really don't envy Savage right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Savage just trying to survive but Svendsen is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Svendsen has the hooks in. Savage is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Savage trying to get back to his feet but Svendsen is in full control for now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Svendsen working for the choke.

Savage breaks Svendsen's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Svendsen pulls Savage in to control the position. Svendsen doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Savage is fighting to break Svendsen's control of his arms but Svendsen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Svendsen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Savage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Svendsen is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Svendsen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Savage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Svendsen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Savage could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Savage wants to get up but he can't break Svendsen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Savage tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Svendsen manages to circle out of the way. A momentary lapse in concentration from Savage enables Svendsen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Savage manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Svendsen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Savage swivels though and keeps the full guard. Svendsen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Savage is trying to keep Svendsen in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Svendsen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Svendsen wants to free his trapped foot but Savage is holding on for dear life with his legs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Svendsen in particular looking to stall. Savage tries to kick Svendsen off but Svendsen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Svendsen drives through with a takedown into guard. Savage has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Svendsen is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Savage keeps control of Svendsen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Svendsen manages to pull guard.
Savage not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Svendsen pulls Savage in close to his closed guard and prevents Savage from doing any damage or advancing position. Svendsen keeping moving, preventing Savage from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Svendsen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Savage defending well though. Svendsen is working for a kimura but Savage is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Savage is trying to maintain the position but Svendsen is very close to passing his half guard. Cosma Svendsen has got the better of the ground game so far. Svendsen stalling.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Svendsen has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Svendsen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Savage swats him away and circles back towards the center. Savage gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Svendsen to score an easy takedown into full guard. Svendsen is standing up over Savage. Savage looks to escape but Svendsen dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Svendsen decides to stand back up. Svendsen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Svendsen is figuring out what he wants to do next. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Svendsen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Savage is just riding it out for now. Svendsen eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cosma Svendsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Vince Savage's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Savage has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Svendsen misses with a punch to the head. You can see the frustration on Savage's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Svendsen throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Svendsen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Savage defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Svendsen is persistently looking for the submission but Savage is defending it well.
Savage is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Svendsen.

Cosma Svendsen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Savage trying to get back to his feet but Svendsen is in full control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Cosma Svendsen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Svendsen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
