Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Berry Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wim Steenbruggen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzales decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Steenbruggen pushes Gonzales off and gets back to his feet.

Steenbruggen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gonzales really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee calls for Steenbruggen to work.
Gonzales jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steenbruggen walks away with a smile on his face. Gonzales gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gonzales throws a lazy uppercut

and Steenbruggen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gonzales knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steenbruggen on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gonzales manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Steenbruggen manages to get himself to full guard.

Steenbruggen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gonzales's guard.

Gonzales has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Steenbruggen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gonzales.

Steenbruggen decides to stand back up. Steenbruggen steps back and let's Gonzales get back to his feet.
Gonzales shoots in for a double leg but Steenbruggen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Steenbruggen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gonzales manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gonzales working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steenbruggen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steenbruggen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gonzales throws a series of punches but Steenbruggen moves out of range.
