Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucius Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Dubois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucius Perkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Dubois! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dubois shoots in and bounces Perkins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Perkins lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Dubois wants to sweep but no luck. Dubois really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dubois controlling Perkins's posture. Perkins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dubois works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perkins is looking to work some ground and pound but Dubois has wrist control. Perkins stops Dubois from standing up. Perkins connects with a couple of short punches. Dubois is wriggling around but Perkins manages to pass to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dubois tries to roll over but Perkins keeps him under control. Perkins seems to be looking for submissions.

Dubois wants to sweep but Perkins has passed to side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dubois is working to avoid the ground and pound but Perkins connects with a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Perkins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dubois has escaped the position, nice work there. Dubois is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dubois struggling a bit here. Dubois is pushing Perkins's head away, looking to escape. Perkins manages to hold on to the position though. Dubois looking for a sweep but Perkins has passed into full mount! Oh no! Dubois wants to control but Perkins is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dubois is trying to reverse the position but instead Perkins has taken his back - oops! Perkins lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Dubois.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dubois looks winded! Dubois trying to control the hands but Perkins won't let him. Perkins is working the ground and pound. Can Dubois escape? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Perkins is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Perkins is looking for the choke from the back position but Dubois is controlling his hands well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucius Perkins dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Perkins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Perkins is working Dubois over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Dubois wants to stand and escape but Perkins is having none of it. Dubois looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perkins is one step ahead there. Perkins is looking to work some ground and pound but Dubois has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Perkins makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Lucius Perkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dubois wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Dubois leaves Perkins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dubois gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Dubois manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Dubois scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Perkins regains full guard. Nicely done. Dubois trying to control the position from guard on top but Perkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dubois wants to stand and escape but instead Perkins has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Dubois tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dubois not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dubois wants to get back to his feet but Perkins is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Dubois pulls Perkins in to control the position. Dubois is wriggling around but Perkins manages to pass to half guard.

Dubois wants to hit a switch here but Perkins passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dubois there! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dubois tries to hold on but Perkins pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lucius Perkins will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Perkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dubois's guard. Perkins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Perkins throwing strikes from guard but Dubois blocks nicely. Dubois is trying to hold Perkins in close to prevent damage but Perkins has managed to pass into half guard.
Dubois kicks Perkins off and gets back to his feet. Perkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dubois tries to avoid it but Perkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dubois to the ground. Dubois escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dubois closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Perkins to the mat! Perkins manages to get full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dubois trying to stand up but can't free himself from Perkins's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dubois cracks Perkins with a solid left hand. Dubois takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Perkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dubois's guard. Dubois not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Perkins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Perkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dubois is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Perkins landing with the ground and pound. Dubois avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Perkins stands up over Dubois, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Perkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Perkins won't allow Dubois to get back to his feet. Dubois is looking to stand back up but Perkins counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dubois. Dubois is trying to stand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chad Dubois seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dubois drives through with a takedown into Perkins's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Dubois trying to stand up but can't free himself from Perkins's guard. Perkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dubois gets to his feet - Perkins follows without any prompting. Perkins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Perkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dubois's guard.
Chad Dubois has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lucius Perkins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Perkins looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
