The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmer moves out of range of the strikes.
Zimmer moves away from the strike by Falcon.
Falcon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zimmer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Falcon looks to score with a jab to the body but Zimmer is just out of range.
FLIck Falcon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Falcon looks to land a left hand but Zimmer moved out of range nicely.
Falcon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Falcon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zimmer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Falcon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zimmer moves away.
Zimmer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Falcon misses with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zimmer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Falcon.
A telegraphed right hand from Falcon misses the target.
Zimmer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Falcon uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zimmer has time to react.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Falcon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Falcon misses with a right hand
and Zimmer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Zimmer with a nice head shot there.
Zimmer scoring with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zimmer connects with a couple of short punches.
Zimmer gets to his feet and stands over Falcon, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Falcon felt that one! Zimmer unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Falcon from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hans Zimmer!
