Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keiichi Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parsons has chosen Rev Theory - Dead in a Grave as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keiichi Yamada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Parsons! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parsons throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Yamada wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Parsons tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yamada paws at him with a jab and circles away. A slow jab from Yamada misses its intended target. Parsons misses with a head kick.
Yamada jabs at Parsons's body. Yamada scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Parsons pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Yamada throws a quick counter kick to the body but Parsons avoids it. Yamada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Parsons drives through and clinches with Yamada against the cage.
Yamada breaks from the clinch.
Parsons lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yamada circles away quickly and effectively. A cross from Yamada lands. Yamada throws an off balance right hand
and Parsons counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Parsons throws a hook but Yamada avoids it easily. It looked like Yamada was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Parsons. This has been an exciting period of action! Parsons misses with a head kick.
Yamada fires out a quick counter leg kick but Parsons just manages to avoid it. Parsons drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Yamada shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Yamada missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parsons wants to get back to full guard. Parsons is trying to control but can't.
Parsons is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Yamada content to control rather than advance. Parsons is positioning himself well to prevent Yamada advancing to mount. Parsons is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamada is looking to take a break and control but Parsons is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Yamada not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Yamada drops an elbow to the side of Parsons's head. Parsons trying to control here.
Yamada is looking to take a break and control but Parsons is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamada is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Yamada trying to mount his opponent but Parsons defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parsons moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Yamada tries to free his leg and advance position but Parsons is retaining full guard. Parsons manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yamada manages to get himself to full guard.

Parsons throws a big right hand that misses. Yamada has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parsons can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Yamada has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Parsons is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Yamada. Yamada taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamada tries to buck Parsons off but Parsons is having none of it. Parsons lands a few punches from side control. Parsons looks up at the clock and then as Yamada takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Parsons smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Parsons lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Yamada down.

Yamada is not content to let Parsons control the position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Parsons scoring with punches and elbows. Yamada tries to buck Parsons off but Parsons is having none of it. Parsons in side control lands a decent elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Parsons is putting a hurting on Yamada here, landing some big shots from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Keiichi Yamada will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Yamada throws a leg kick which misses Parsons's front leg but catches the back leg as Parsons tries to avoid it. Yamada lands a nice shot to the body.
Parsons forces Yamada back against the cage and clinches. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Yamada. A left hand lands to the body for Yamada.

Yamada breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A jab from Parsons does it's job there. Yamada plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Yamada fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Parsons throws a shot from downtown. Yamada moves away and avoids it. Parsons takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Yamada throws a leg kick but Parsons sees it coming and moves out of range. Parsons takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Yamada counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Parsons throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Yamada darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Yamada throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Parsons tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yamada is in Parsons's guard. Parsons keeping full guard, as Yamada tries to pass. Parsons is adopting a defensive guard. Yamada trying to control but Parsons is working from the bottom. Parsons trying to control the position here. Yamada might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Yamada tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Parsons defends well and Yamada ends up having to push Parsons into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Parsons swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Yamada is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Yamada connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Parsons closes the distance and pushes Yamada back into the cage. Parsons creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Yamada's defenses.
It looks like Keiichi Yamada has been cut. Yamada lands with a right to the head. Yamada is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Parsons can do to turn this around? Parsons tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Parsons slips under a jab from Yamada. Parsons tries to counter with a clinch but Yamada shakes him off and moves away. Yamada tries to work over Parsons's front leg with a kick but Parsons checks it. Parsons misses with an uppercut. Yamada saw that one coming. Parsons misses with a straight left. Parsons throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Parsons throws a punch but it's blocked by Yamada. Yamada is trying to push Parsons away but Parsons has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Parsons scores with a shoulder strike. A head punch blocked on the inside by Yamada. Yamada tries to circle away but Parsons has him pinned against the cage. Yamada misses with a punch on the inside.

Keiichi Yamada dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Keiichi Yamada's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parsons swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Yamada drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parsons trying to keep a closed guard but Yamada is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamada wants to pass the guard but Parsons is keeping the position. Yamada working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Parsons is adopting a defensive guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yamada accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Yamada preventing the sweep. Yamada is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Yamada throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jack Parsons has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Parsons wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Parsons takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Yamada explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Yamada gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Parsons. Yamada misses the shot to the body. Parsons takes a swing at Yamada's ribcage but misses. Parsons tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yamada paws at him with a jab and circles away. Parsons has taken the fight to the clinch.

Parsons tries to clinch up but Yamada circles away and keeps his distance. Good exchange - Yamada coming out on top. Parsons takes one on the button. Yamada steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Parsons. Parsons throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Parsons wants to control but Yamada is having none of it. Yamada looking to control and managing it successfully. Keiichi Yamada is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Parsons is desperately trying to improve his position but Yamada has a good base and remains in mount. Parsons manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Parsons, under a barage of strikes from Yamada.
Yamada is just content to waste time from the top position. Parsons takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Parsons had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yamada defends it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Keiichi Yamada showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yamada, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
