Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hilo Amsterdam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brotiz Bruttz! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amsterdam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bruttz napping and manages to drive through into side control! Amsterdam is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bruttz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Amsterdam looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bruttz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bruttz manages to get back to half guard. Bruttz is looking for a sweep. Amsterdam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bruttz actively working from the bottom here. Bruttz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bruttz. Amsterdam definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bruttz working for a triangle but Amsterdam defends it easily.
Bruttz has his foot on Amsterdam's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amsterdam works his way back into a safe position though. Amsterdam drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Amsterdam jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Amsterdam tries to free his leg and advance position but Bruttz is retaining full guard. Amsterdam sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bruttz's guard. Bruttz is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amsterdam is trying for a kimura here. Bruttz looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Amsterdam wins by kimura!
