Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edgardo Cline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Edgardo Cline! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Knight! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight slaps away a takedown attempt from Cline, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cline fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Knight sprawls well initially but Cline persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Knight pushes Cline off and gets back to his feet. Knight throws a right and a left that Cline avoids nicely. Knight misses with a takedown attempt - Cline sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cline tries to counter by clinching up but Knight breaks away and moves out of range. Nice sprawl there from Knight as Cline shoots in. Knight scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Patrick Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knight fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cline shoots in looking for a takedown but Knight manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cline's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edgardo Cline. That's going to take a lot out of him. Knight closes the distance and pushes Cline back into the cage. Cline dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Knight looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cline has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Knight is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cline is struggling to control the position. Cline jumps guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cline is looking for a triangle but Knight pushes his legs off easily.
Knight throws a big right hand that misses. Cline is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Knight defends well. Knight throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cline works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Knight stands and steps away. Cline gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Some wild striking there from Knight.
Cline shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Knight counter with a right hand. Knight looks to land a combination. Cline sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice combination there by Knight.
Knight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cline moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cline wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Knight clinches with his opponent.
Knight is trying to break free. Cline has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Knight is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Knight working hard to break the clinch. Cline's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Knight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knight wants it to stay on the feet. Knight throws a right and a left that Cline avoids nicely. Cline seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cline has a takedown stuffed. A combination from Knight does no damage. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cline is defended easily by Knight. Knight throws a counter combo. Knight clinches with his opponent.
Cline breaks the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Patrick Knight dominated that round. That's time! Cline's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Cline is looking to take this one to the mat. Knight has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cline uses from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cline postures up in Knight's guard and throws a big left but Knight blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cline would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Knight has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Knight wants to get back to his feet but Cline is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Cline scoring with punches to the head and body. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knight trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Knight looking for a sweep. Not yet Knight, not yet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Knight throws a leg kick but Cline checks it. Cline misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cline shoots for a double leg takedown but Knight sprawls well. He's pushed Cline's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Knight lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edgardo Cline. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cline has a takedown stuffed. Knight scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Cline fails with a takedown attempt. Cline tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knight swats him away and circles back towards the center. Edgardo Cline is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight throws a big shot that misses. Knight lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Knight. Knight clinches up against the cage. Cline keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Knight's efforts to push away. Cline stalling in the clinch.

Patrick Knight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Cline has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Knight down to the mat. Knight avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edgardo Cline. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch lands to the side of Cline 's head but he takes it in his stride. Knight throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cline moves into range and clinches up with Knight. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Cline is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Cline pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A decent looking cross lands there for Knight. Knight lands a really nice looking cross but Cline seems unphased.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knight looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cline is fending him off so far but Knight persists. Nope, Cline circles away and we're back to standing. Knight swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Cline counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Knight utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Knight takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cline distracts Knight with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Edgardo Cline overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cline has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Knight is proving hard to escape from. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cline postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Edgardo Cline. I think Knight has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
