Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angle comes into the arena with Kurt Angle blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Durden's choice of entrance music: ANIT NO REST FOR THE WICKED. Kurt Angle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tyler Durden's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Angle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Durden! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Durden!
A nice leg kick lands there from Durden. Durden's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Durden duly obliges. Durden throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Durden is looking to chop away at Angle's legs. Durden throws a leg kick but Angle sees it coming and checks it nicely. Durden throws a series of punches but Angle avoids them all with ease. Angle scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Angle advances to full mount. Durden is trying to stand up. Angle is going olschool here, as he tries to force Durden to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Durden shrugs it off. Durden wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like Tyler Durden has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Durden is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Angle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Durden is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Angle stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durden finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Durden fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Angle. Angle could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Angle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angle prevents Durden from escaping the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Durden looks gassed! Angle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Durden, who protects the arm well. Angle tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Durden is pushing Angle's head away, looking to escape. Angle manages to hold on to the position though. Durden is not content to let Angle control the position. Angle has an Americana. Durden didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Angle is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Angle hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kurt Angle!
