The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcgregor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mcgregor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gregor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mcgregor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gregor sprawls well. Gregor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcgregor gets slowly back to his feet.
Tom Gregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gregor throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mcgregor counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Mcgregor is looking to clinch.
Gregor unleashes a big counter combination but Mcgregor bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and Mcgregor counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gregor's knee momentarily.
Mcgregor has managed to clinch.
Mcgregor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mcgregor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gregor defends well and Mcgregor ends up having to push Gregor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Gregor now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Gregor's corner calls for a 1-2. Gregor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Mcgregor is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gregor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck for Mcgregor with that takedown attempt.
Gregor cracks Mcgregor with a good jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Gregor dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mcgregor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gregor pinned against the cage. Gregor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gregor throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mcgregor counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Gregor throws a chopping leg kick but Mcgregor manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Gregor scores with the left hand. Mcgregor knows he should have avoided that one.
Tom Gregor seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gregor lands a left and a right that send Mcgregor crashing to the mat, dazed. Gregor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Mcgregor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gregor connects with a right that clearly hurt Mcgregor. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Gregor proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Mcgregor collapses and taps out under the pressure!
