Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tal Gator!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olson forces Gator back against the cage and clinches.
Gator takes a shot to the head.

Gator lands an elbow just above Olson 's eye.
It looks like Joey Olson has been cut.

and Gator counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Olson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Olson lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gator looking to hit a scissor sweep but Olson is one step ahead there.

Gator manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Olson manages to get himself to full guard.
Olson working for a triangle but Gator defends it easily.
Gator postures up in Olson's guard and throws a big left but Olson blocks it.
Olson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Olson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Olson is working an open guard so Gator takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Olson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gator.

Gator darts in and clinches Olson up against the cage.
Gator successfully pulls guard.
Gator looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Olson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Olson stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Gator throws up his legs and catches Olson in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Olson tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Gator! That came out of nowhere!
