Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gilligan Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Feer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obama comes to the cage accompanied by sound of maddness. Gilligan Obama could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Josh Feer's chin.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Feer! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obama throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Feer's waist but Feer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Obama off to one side. Feer is looking to clinch but Obama is avoiding it.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Obama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Feer tries to avoid it but Obama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Feer to the ground. Feer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Obama shoots in looking for a takedown. Feer tries to sprawl out of it but Obama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Feer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Feer shoots and misses and Obama counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Feer wants to control but Obama is keeping busy and won't allow it. Obama looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Feer is defending against the submission attempts here by Obama.

That's one minute gone in the round. Obama trying to pass the guard but Feer defending well. Obama working over Feer with some ground and pound. Feer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Feer is looking to control Obama's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Feer avoid being mounted? Feer looks gassed! Feer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Obama. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Obama passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Feer! Obama goes for an armbar but Feer turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Feer. Obama looking to hit a scissor sweep but Feer is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Feer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Feer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Feer won't allow Obama to sweep him here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Feer looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Feer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Obama is keeping the position for now. Feer trying to control the position from guard on top but Obama is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Feer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Despite being in the dominant position, Josh Feer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Obama misses with a takedown attempt and Feer counters with a nice double leg into guard. Feer preventing the sweep. Feer wants to get up but he can't break Obama's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Obama looking for a sweep. Not yet Obama, not yet. Obama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Feer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Obama looking for a guillotine here but Feer defends easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Obama fails with the takedown and Feer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Obama fails with the takedown and Feer counters with a shoot takedown. Obama fights it but they end up in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Obama looking for a sweep. Not yet Obama, not yet. Feer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Obama had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Feer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Obama Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Feer's back instead. Obama has the hooks in. Feer is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Obama gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Feer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Feer. Feer tries to free his leg and advance position but Obama is retaining full guard. Obama keeping moving, preventing Feer from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Feer can do anything to dispel that myth. Obama drops back looking for a leg! Feer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Feer manages to kick Obama off! Obama jumps back into Feer's guard. Obama prevents Feer from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Feer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Obama trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Obama drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Feer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Obama has Feer in his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Feer wants to control from the top but Obama keeps moving. Obama manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Feer manages to get himself to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Feer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Feer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Obama as he avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Obama drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Obama tries for a kimura but Feer is defending well. Feer regains half guard. Feer is trying to stand back up but Obama is controlling him

Josh Feer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Feer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Obama looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Feer stays in close to Obama's body and controls the position. Obama looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Feer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Obama wants to sweep here but Feer controlling him for the moment.

Feer stands up over Obama, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Feer controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Feer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Feer trying to control the position from guard on top but Obama is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Obama manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Obama has hold of Feer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Feer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Obama is going olschool here, as he tries to force Feer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Feer shrugs it off. Feer wants to hold on but Obama pushes him away. Josh Feer has got the better of the ground game so far. Feer keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Obama throwing strikes here but Feer is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Josh Feer. Well Feer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
