Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelyanenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor Emelyanenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Robinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fedor Emelyanenko! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelyanenko checks a low kick from Robinson. Emelyanenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robinson pinned against the cage. Robinson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Robinson feints and as Emelyanenko raises his hands in defense, Robinson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Emelyanenko pushes Robinson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Robinson slaps away a takedown attempt from Emelyanenko, before circling back to the center of the mat. Emelyanenko looks for a takedown but Robinson sprawls well. Jason Robinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Emelyanenko. Emelyanenko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Emelyanenko showed some decent athleticism there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Robinson actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Robinson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Emelyanenko is working away from the top position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Robinson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Emelyanenko drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Robinson can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson is looking for a sweep. The referee asks Emelyanenko politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Emelyanenko prefers to stall for the moment though. Robinson tries to buck Emelyanenko off but Emelyanenko is having none of it. Robinson is working hard here to advance position. A lull in the action here. Robinson tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Emelyanenko taking a breather here. Robinson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Emelyanenko has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Robinson is on him like a limpet, forcing Emelyanenko back against the cage. Emelyanenko breaks the clinch.
Robinson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Emelyanenko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Emelyanenko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Robinson defends well and Emelyanenko ends up having to push Robinson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Robinson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Emelyanenko is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Emelyanenko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Robinson quickly recovers to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Emelyanenko content to control rather than advance.

Emelyanenko is thwarting Robinson's attempts to control the position. Emelyanenko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Robinson is trying to stand up here but Emelyanenko is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Emelyanenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Horrible takedown attempt by Emelyanenko or perhaps it was just good defense by Robinson, which made it look bad. Robinson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Emelyanenko closes the distance and pushes Robinson back into the cage. Emelyanenko manages to break the clinch.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Robinson struggling a bit here.
