Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Burns Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Schilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns Jr kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Notorious Thugz- Notorious B.I.G ft Bone Thugz N' Harmony. Eugene Burns Jr had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Burns Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Gilbert Schilt! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns Jr fails with a takedown attempt. Eugene Burns Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burns Jr slips a jab and a cross from Schilt.
Burns Jr wants to clinch up but Schilt keeps it at a distance. Schilt moves out of range of the body kick from Burns Jr.
Schilt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Burns Jr misses with a takedown attempt - Schilt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Horrible takedown by Burns Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Schilt which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eugene Burns Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burns Jr tries to clinch up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schilt fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Burns Jr on the side of the head.
It looks like Eugene Burns Jr has been cut. Burns Jr misses with a combination
and Burns Jr is countered with a crisp right hand from Schilt that sends him to the canvas! Schilt follows him to the mat into side control.
Burns Jr is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schilt decides to stand back up. Schilt steps back and let's Burns Jr get back to his feet. Oh Burns Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Schilt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Burns Jr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schilt sprawls well initially but Burns Jr persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Burns Jr seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns Jr seems to be working for a kimura but Schilt defends the submission attempt. Schilt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Schilt is trying to stand up here but Burns Jr is controlling him well. Schilt makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Schilt circles away from the clinch attempt and Burns Jr is countered with a crisp right hand from Schilt that sends him to the canvas! Schilt follows him to the mat into side control. Burns Jr is breathing heavily. Schilt stands up and we're back to a striking position. Schilt throws a monster overhand right that drops Burns Jr! Schilt follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gilbert Schilt!
