Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Chen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cora Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brooks is standing up over Chen. Chen looks to escape but Brooks dives into side control.
Brooks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Chen on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Brooks remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Brooks scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chen to see if he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chen takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Brooks working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Chen is rocked!

Brooks lands some shots froms side control.
Oh Chen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big shot lands for Brooks! That's hurt Chen! Will he recover? Brooks fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
