Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henry Pollock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanishi Toshiyuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toshiyuki has chosen Fuck you as his entrance music. Tanishi Toshiyuki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Pollock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tanishi Toshiyuki!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollock throws a low kick but Toshiyuki moves out of range easily.
Toshiyuki smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Toshiyuki tries to clinch there but Pollock circles away.
Toshiyuki misses the shot to the body.
Pollock avoids the body shot from Toshiyuki.
Pollock throws an overhand right that lands on Toshiyuki's shoulder, as Toshiyuki tries to avoid the shot.

enabling Toshiyuki to counter with a crisp jab.

so Pollock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Toshiyuki is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Pollock definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Toshiyuki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pollock.

Toshiyuki throws a lazy right hand but Pollock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pollock takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Toshiyuki throws a nice looking combination but Pollock bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pollock rushes Toshiyuki and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Toshiyuki tries to break the clinch but Pollock is controlling the position.
Pollock has Toshiyuki pressed against the ropes, preventing Toshiyuki from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Pollock connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A slow jab from Pollock misses its intended target.

Toshiyuki throws a series of punches but Pollock avoids them all with ease.
Pollock does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Pollock counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Toshiyuki!
Toshiyuki bucks up and tries to throw Pollock off but instead Pollock has got his back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pollock is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Pollock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

and Toshiyuki counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Oh Pollock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pollock throws a lazy uppercut
and Toshiyuki counters with a huge left! Pollock is in big trouble! He's backing up but Toshiyuki isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Pollock from any more damage. A dominating finish by Toshiyuki!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tanishi Toshiyuki!
