Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Nikitin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikitin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Smack My Bitch Up . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 17 - 4, fighting out of Hilo, Alexandr Nikitin! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anstey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nikitin moves into the clinch. Anstey is trying to force a seperation but Nikitin has the dominant position. Nikitin pulls guard effortlessly. Anstey with a flurry of punches that miss. Anstey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nikitin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Nikitin looking for a guillotine here but Anstey defends easily.
Anstey stopping the sweep attempt from Nikitin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Anstey's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Anstey lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nikitin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Nikitin wants to sweep here but Anstey controlling him for the moment. Anstey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Anstey lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Nikitin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Nikitin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Anstey looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Anstey looking for a guillotine here but Nikitin defends easily.
Nikitin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anstey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nikitin wants to pass the guard but Anstey is keeping the position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Anstey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Anstey seems to be working for a kimura but Nikitin defends the submission attempt. Nikitin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anstey working the head and body with strikes. Nikitin tries to get to full guard but Anstey has control of the leg. Anstey takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Nikitin is trying to maintain the position but Anstey is very close to passing his half guard. Nikitin controlling the position well. Nikitin is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Anstey thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Nikitin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Anstey scores with a couple of nice shots. Nikitin is trying to control but can't.
Nikitin wants to improve his position but Anstey is controlling well.
Anstey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nice strikes from Anstey there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corwin Anstey dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Anstey closes the distance and clinches. Anstey lands a hook to the side of the head. Nikitin throws a head punch that misses. Nikitin lands a left hand.
Anstey lands a body punch in the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Nikitin fails to land. Anstey has had enough of the clinch but Nikitin keeps him there for the moment. Nikitin jumps guard and drags Anstey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Nikitin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Anstey lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Anstey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Anstey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nikitin can do to turn this around? Anstey looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Anstey won't allow Nikitin to sweep him here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anstey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nikitin seems keen to control Anstey's posture. Anstey wants to control from the top but Nikitin keeps moving.

Anstey tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Anstey sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Nikitin is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Anstey lands some shots froms side control. Anstey working the ground and pound from side control. Nikitin tries to buck Anstey off but Anstey is having none of it. Anstey lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Nikitin tries to buck Anstey off but Anstey is having none of it. Anstey working the head and body with strikes. Nikitin is looking for a sweep. Nikitin is still trying to improve position. Anstey cracks Nikitin with an elbow. That is naaassty. Anstey working the ground and pound but Nikitin is defending the strikes. Nikitin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Anstey is chipping away with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anstey lands some shots froms side control. Nikitin is trying to control Anstey's posture but Anstey avoids it. Anstey works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Nikitin sneaks back into half guard. Nikitin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anstey stopping the sweep attempt from Nikitin. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anstey is working Nikitin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Anstey chips away with some ground and pound. Nikitin controlling Anstey's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corwin Anstey dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Anstey scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Anstey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nikitin is fending him off so far but Anstey persists. Nope, Nikitin circles away and we're back to standing. Anstey sets himself, and Nikitin steps forward looking for the clinch! Anstey avoids it this time. Anstey is looking to land body kicks. Anstey cracks Nikitin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Anstey misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nikitin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anstey moves away. Nikitin stalks Anstey and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Anstey's face. Anstey staggers backwards, shaken. A solid leg kick lands there for Anstey.
Nikitin drives through and clinches with Anstey against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nikitin. Anstey being controlled against the cage. Anstey wants a takedown but no success here.

Anstey tries to throw a body punch but Nikitin avoids it by throwing Anstey back against the cage. Anstey working aggressively here.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Anstey blocking some punches.
Nikitin tries a body shot but Anstey blocks it.
Anstey scores with a hook to the body. Nikitin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Anstey has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nikitin regains guard immediately. Anstey postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anstey content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Nikitin is trying to control the position but Anstey postures up. Anstey throwing strikes but missing. Anstey content to stall in guard here. Anstey wants to pass the guard but Nikitin is keeping the position. Nikitin controls Anstey momentarily but Anstey frees himself. Alexandr Nikitin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Corwin Anstey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Anstey preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nikitin keeps trying to improve his position. Nikitin is trying to control the position but Anstey postures up. Anstey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Nikitin trying to keep a closed guard but Anstey is proving a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nice body punch from Anstey. Anstey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nikitin as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corwin Anstey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Anstey tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nikitin defends well and Anstey ends up having to push Nikitin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nikitin is looking for the big counter here. A shot to the body from Nikitin misses and Anstey counters with a head kick. That will keep Nikitin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Anstey thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Nikitin if he has to take too many more of those.
Anstey's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nikitin under the eye. Anstey cracks the inside of Nikitin's front leg. Anstey drives through with a takedown into Nikitin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Anstey trying to control the position from guard on top but Nikitin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Anstey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Corwin Anstey showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anstey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Corwin Anstey decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
