Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gus Pappas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and L Manning Hines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gus Pappas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, L Manning Hines! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pappas fails in his attempt to clinch. Hines doesn't manage to clinch there - Pappas circles away.
Hines has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pappas is landing a low percentage of strikes. Pappas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pappas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hines moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hines on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Pappas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hines with the counter takedown but Pappas avoids it easily. Hines dives in for a single leg takedown but Pappas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Pappas misses with the body kick
and Hines counters with a shoot takedown. Pappas fights it but they end up in guard. Hines stopping the sweep attempt from Pappas. Pappas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hines manages to get himself to full guard.
 The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hines is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pappas's corner is telling him to maintain position. Pappas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hines on the ground.
Hines throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pappas escapes and throws Hines's legs to the side, diving into side control! Pappas content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Hines tries to buck Pappas off but Pappas is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Hines's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pappas trying to control the action but Hines is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hines tries to get back to half guard but can't.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pappas working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pappas trying to control the action but Hines is working from the bottom.
Pappas stands up and we're back to a striking position. Pappas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Pappas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Pappas throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Hines misses with an uppercut. Hines misses with a series of wild punches.
Hines fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pappas avoids it really well and circles away. Pappas swinging wildly here.
Hines is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Hines moves into the clinch successfully.
Pappas is trying to break free. Pappas swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hines's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hines moves in looking to clinch but Pappas pushes him off.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pappas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pappas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hines. Hines shoots in for a takedown but Pappas shows good takedown defense. Gus Pappas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of L Manning Hines. Pappas tries to clinch
and Hines counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hines.
Pappas is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pappas misses with a body punch.
Hines breaks the clinch.
Hines dives in for a single leg takedown but Pappas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Pappas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pappas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Pappas tries a low kick but Hines avoids it. Pappas displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Hines ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pappas slips under a jab from Hines. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Gus Pappas dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hines shoots in but Pappas avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hines tests Pappas's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pappas is looking to clinch but Hines is avoiding it.

Pappas throws a leg kick
and Hines counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pappas! Pappas can't do much from the bottom here. Pappas stops Hines from passing to mount. Pappas is looking to reverse the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pappas wants to control but Hines postures up. Sloppy strikes there by Hines. Hines is looking to take a break and control but Pappas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hines tries to advance to mount but Pappas denies him. Hines cracks Pappas with a big right hand but Pappas just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hines throws a strike aimed at the side of Pappas's head but Pappas avoids it well. Pappas wants to control but Hines postures up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The strikes coming from Hines are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hines misses with the ground and pound. Pappas is not content to let Hines control the position. Pappas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hines's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Pappas has hold of Hines's hands but Hines slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hines is keen to just control but Pappas is a slippery customer.
Hines seems to be working for a kimura but Pappas defends the submission attempt.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hines is looking for a kimura but Pappas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hines to get the leverage. Pappas regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Hines. Hines trying to control but Pappas is working from the bottom. Pappas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hines. Hines throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hines scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hines slips nicely into half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pappas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hines. Pappas is trying to control but can't.
Hines is just content to waste time from the top position. Pappas takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Hines lands a couple of elbows. L Manning Hines has got the better of the ground game so far. Pappas keeping moving, preventing Hines from controlling successfully. Hines might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pappas haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hines advances position into side control! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
L Manning Hines showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Pappas blocks a leg kick. Pappas cracks Hines with an open hand slap. A telegraphed right hand from Pappas misses the target. Pappas is looking to land body kicks. Hines with the counter takedown but Pappas avoids it easily. Pappas throws a series of punches but Hines avoids them all with ease. Pappas throws a leg kick but Hines sees it coming and moves out of range. Hines misses with a takedown attempt - Pappas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hines takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Gus Pappas is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice takedown defense from Pappas. No joy for Hines on that attempt. Pappas doesn't manage to clinch there - Hines circles away.

Hines is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pappas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pappas tries to improve position but can't.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pappas wants to get back to his feet but Hines is dominant here and he's now got Pappas's back! Hines lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Hines misses with an elbow to the head. Well, with Hines on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Pappas is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Hines scores with strikes from the back.
Hines is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Pappas up.

Hines is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Pappas is trying to remain composed but Hines is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hines throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Pappas trying to control but not successfully. Pappas looking very determined here, making life difficult for Hines.
Pappas covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Pappas is trying to stand back up. Even with his hooks in, Hines manages to miss with strikes from the back. Hines has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hines has the hooks in. Pappas is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hines has Pappas flattened out and is raining down punches.
Hines looking to break Pappas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pappas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hines will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Hines is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Pappas knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Pappas for a finish. Hines lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Pappas has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Hines. Hines missing with strikes. Hines missing with strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! L Manning Hines comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hines has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... L Manning Hines! After the fight, L Manning Hines was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
