Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Hoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doug Hoo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sterling Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Hoo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva.
Hoo tries to stand but Silva is controlling from the bottom.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hoo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hoo wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoo connects with a couple of short punches.

Hoo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hoo's waist but Hoo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hoo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hoo showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva tries to lock up and control but Hoo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hoo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Hoo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
