The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
A combination from Fallen does no damage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Fallen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fnx Fallen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Teixeira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fallen's coach down at Palace of Pain Gym - VCL - Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fallen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fallen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Teixeira has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fallen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fallen can do anything to dispel that myth.
