Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Branko Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fnx Fallen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Branko Teixeira could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fnx Fallen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Branko Teixeira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fnx Fallen! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. A combination from Fallen does no damage. Fallen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Teixeira counters with a nice double leg into guard. Fallen pushes Teixeira off and gets back to his feet.
Teixeira needs to keep his hands up - Fallen had a free shot at his head there. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fallen feints a jab promting Teixeira to slip. Fallen then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Teixeira slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fallen lands with an overhand left. Fallen misses with a body kick. Teixeira dodges the punch combination from Fallen.
Teixeira fires out a quick counter leg kick but Fallen just manages to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fallen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Teixeira changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Fallen throws a right and a left that Teixeira avoids nicely. Teixeira dodges the punch combination from Fallen.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fallen misses with a double jab
and Teixeira counters with a good low kick that Fallen was not able to check. Fallen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fnx Fallen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fallen lands a jab-cross combination. Teixeira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fallen falls off balance throwing a combination
and Teixeira counters by moving into the clinch. Fallen's coach down at Palace of Pain Gym - VCL - Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fallen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Fallen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Teixeira has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fallen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fallen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Teixeira.
Teixeira has Fallen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fallen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Teixeira slips a jab and a cross from Fallen.
Fallen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Teixeira has time to react. Fallen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fallen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Teixeira sees it coming and avoids it easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fallen throws a right and a left that Teixeira avoids nicely. Teixeira attempts a counter takedown but Fallen avoids it well and moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fnx Fallen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fallen can do anything to dispel that myth. Teixeira is pushing down on Fallen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fallen is fighting to maintain full guard but Teixeira has managed to sneak the leg through. Fallen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Teixeira is trying for a kimura here. Fallen looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Teixeira wins by kimura!
