Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parrish throws a sloppy head kick and Souza moves out of range easily.
Souza is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Souza is defended easily by Parrish.
Parrish tried to counter with a leg kick but Souza avoided it.
Parrish dives in for a single leg takedown but Souza sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Parrish slaps away a takedown attempt from Souza, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Parrish gets caught napping as Souza dives in and scores a takedown. Parrish manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parrish swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Parrish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Souza drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Parrish defends it well.
Parrish gets caught flat footed, as Souza shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Parrish manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Parrish really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Parrish as he jumps to the side.

Souza shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Parrish but Parrish pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Parrish looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Parrish wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Souza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Parrish counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Souza pushes Parrish up against the cage in a clinch.
Souza wants the takedown. Parrish is fighting it off but Souza persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Parrish's guard against the cage.
Parrish kicks Souza off and gets to his feet.
Parrish moves out of range of the body kick.
Parrish shoots in looking for a takedown. Souza tries to sprawl out of it but Parrish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Souza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Parrish swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Souza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Souza misses with a takedown attempt - Parrish sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Leo Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza is breathing heavily.
A head kick by Souza misses
and Parrish counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Parrish closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Souza to the mat! Souza manages to get full guard.
Souza isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Parrish stacks Souza on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Parrish!
Parrish creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Souza sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Souza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parrish tries to avoid it but Souza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parrish to the ground. Parrish escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Parrish has Souza pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Parrish pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Souza tumbling to the mat - Parrish dives into Souza's guard.
Souza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parrish. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
