Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Earl Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tolik Diodor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Diodor's choice of entrance music: Ashtmatic. Earl Dunn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Earl Dunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tolik Diodor! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A chopping leg kick lands by Diodor. Dunn tries to clinch up. Dunn moves into range and clinches up with Diodor. Stalling in the clinch from Dunn.

Diodor is looking for a takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diodor tries to score a body lock takedown but Dunn shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A frustrated look appears on Diodor's face as he tries to break the clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Diodor.

Diodor is looking to control Dunn's arms but Dunn gets an underhook and turns him. Now Diodor has his back to the cage. Diodor manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunn tightens his grip and picks Diodor up, before dumping him to the ground. Diodor manages to land in guard. Diodor is wriggling around but Dunn manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diodor trying to hold on to Dunn's head to control him but Dunn postures up.

Dunn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diodor as he jumps to the side. Diodor changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Diodor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Dunn avoiding damage as Diodor throws knees to the body.

Diodor has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dunn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Diodor fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Dunn seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Diodor breaks from the clinch.

Dunn fails in his attempt to clinch. Diodor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dunn defends well and Diodor ends up having to push Dunn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Tolik Diodor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick by Diodor misses and Dunn counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Diodor! Dunn just content to control the position. Dunn scoring with punches from side control. Dunn scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Diodor to see if he's OK. Dunn creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Dunn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunn cracks Diodor with a big right hand but Diodor just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Dunn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dunn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diodor can do to turn this around? Dunn happy to just control the position for now. You can see the frustration on Diodor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
