Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilbert Tash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tash has chosen Seven drunken nights as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Knight!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ilbert Tash!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Knight does no damage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tash has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tash stuffs the takedown.

Tash shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tash was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Tash in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Tash has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Tash.
Knight is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Geo77 that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Tash cracks Knight with a big elbow.
Tash lands some shots froms side control.
Knight tries to bench press Tash off him but Tash keeps the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ground and pound from Tash seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Tash has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tash slows the pace down.
Knight parries the strikes from Tash easily there. Tash is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Knight to escape.

Tash is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Knight defends it well.
Knight pushes Tash off looking to stand but Tash dives back in and keeps control.

Tash takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Tash slows the pace down in half guard.

Tash prevents Knight from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tash controlling the action here.
Knight wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Knight takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


Knight is rocked!
Tash throws a pinpoint strike between Knight's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Knight crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Tash scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ilbert Tash!
