The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zombie scores with a leg kick.
We've been told by Castro's head coaches at LOD: Contenders that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Zombie throws a lazy right hand but Castro sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Castro takes one to the chin there.
Arlan Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zombie jabs Castro right on the nose. Castro blinks but takes it well.
Zombie avoids the body shot from Castro.
Zombie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little feinted left hand from Castro on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Castro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Castro lands a head kick. Zombie smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Castro lands with a right hand.
Castro connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Castro throws an off balance right hand
and Zombie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zombie avoids the head kick by Castro.

Zombie slips a straight right by Castro.
Zombie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Zombie connects with a solid leg kick.
Castro keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Zombie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Castro doesn't seem bothered though.

Castro throws a jab but it's blocked by Zombie.
Castro ducks under a wild hook from Zombie.
Castro walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Zombie lands with a hook. Castro tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Zombie avoids the head kick by Castro.
Castro throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Castro cracks Zombie with a good jab.
Zombie tries a head kick but it misses.
Castro tries to clinch up but Zombie circles away and keeps his distance.

Zombie throws an overhand right that lands on Castro's shoulder, as Castro tries to avoid the shot.
Castro is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Castro misses with a lunging right hand
and Zombie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Castro takes one to the side of the head.
Castro connects with a jab.
Zombie has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Zombie swings for the body but Castro moves out of range.
Castro is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Zombie misses the body punch
and Castro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Castro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Castro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zombie. Castro does a little dance to reset his feet.
Castro pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zombie throws a poor cross that misses
and Castro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Zombie circles away from the clinch attempt
and Zombie counters with a left to the body.
Zombie takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Zombie looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Castro wants to clinch.
Castro throws a head kick that misses
and Zombie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Zombie connects with a good right hand that stumbles Castro. Castro circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zombie misses the shot to the body.
Zombie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Castro looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Castro blocks a head kick by Zombie.
Castro throwing a counter right hand but Zombie manages to avoid it.
Zombie scores with a hook to the body. Castro takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Zombie dodges the punch combination from Castro.
Castro takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Castro tries to clinch but Zombie is having none of it.

Zombie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Castro takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Castro is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Castro throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Zombie counters with a huge left! Castro is in big trouble! He's backing up but Zombie isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Castro from any more damage. A dominating finish by Zombie!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Russian Zombie!
A relieved looking Russian Zombie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
