Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wahlberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timmy Sims!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Wahlberg!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sims rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wahlberg moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Wahlberg instigates a clinch.
Sims is looking to take this one to the mat.

Wahlberg manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wahlberg tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sims missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Wahlberg escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sims gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sims lands a couple of digs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sims stopping the sweep attempt from Wahlberg.
Wahlberg is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Wahlberg throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Wahlberg is controlling Sims's posture.
Sims wants to stand and escape but instead Wahlberg has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Wahlberg tries to free his leg and advance position but Sims is retaining full guard.
Wahlberg throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wahlberg is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Wahlberg trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Wahlberg is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sims being controlled here, momentarily.
Sims might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sims looking for a sweep. Not yet Sims, not yet.
Sims really is a fat lump.

Wahlberg forces his way into half guard.

Wahlberg stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Sims to get to his feet.
A left and a right from Sims both land. Nice combination.

Sims closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wahlberg tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sims working the ground and pound but Wahlberg is defending the strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wahlberg is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Wahlberg pushes Sims off but Sims dives into side control.

You can see the frustration on Wahlberg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sims is thwarting Wahlberg's attempts to control the position.
Wahlberg throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Wahlberg dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sloppy strikes from Sims. Those never looked like landing.

Wahlberg has closed the distance and engaged Sims in a clinch.
Sims drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sims tries to pull guard but Wahlberg holds him up against the cage and eventually Sims drops back down to his feet.

Sims breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sims defending well as Wahlberg loads up on a big left hand.
Sims shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wahlberg but Wahlberg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timmy Sims. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sims throws a lazy head kick

and Wahlberg counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sims won't be happy with that.
Sims manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wahlberg's best efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wahlberg scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wahlberg in particular looking to stall.
Wahlberg is continuing to stall.
Sims is looking to get back to full guard here but Wahlberg has managed to pass to side control instead.
The referee asks Wahlberg politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wahlberg prefers to stall for the moment though.
Sims gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Mark Wahlberg has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wahlberg lands with some strikes.

Wahlberg working for a submission but Sims is keeping him at bay.
Wahlberg controlling the pace for now.
Wahlberg landing strikes from the mount and Sims is in trouble!
Wahlberg has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The referee warns Sims that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Wahlberg postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sims looks a forlorn figure.

Wahlberg looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Wahlberg lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Wahlberg lands a nice shot to the head.
Sims keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wahlberg looking for a guillotine from mount but Sims is having none of it.

Wahlberg controlling the pace for now.
The adventures of Wahlberg the control monster continue. Boring.
Sims is trying to reverse the position but instead Wahlberg has taken his back - oops!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wahlberg just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Wahlberg is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Sims won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Wahlberg off his unconscious opponent!
