Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Mazza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Campion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mazza might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Smooth Criminal. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lou Mazza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gregory Campion! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Campion misses with a jab, cross combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mazza is defended easily by Campion. Mazza looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mazza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Campion. Mazza shoots in for a takedown but Campion shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Mazza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Campion lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mazza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Campion as he jumps to the side. Campion gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mazza.
It looks like Gregory Campion has been cut. Campion shoots in for a double leg but Mazza sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mazza shoots in and bounces Campion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Campion is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mazza is controlling him. Campion has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mazza has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mazza goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Campion has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mazza but great work by Campion. Mazza is not content to let Campion control the position. Campion is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mazza's shoulder. That is not cool. Campion throwing strikes but Mazza manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Campion wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Mazza controls the position from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mazza creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Campion sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Campion is trying to escape the position but Mazza is controlling the position. Campion is trying to improve his position. Campion gets back to half guard. Mazza is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Campion wants to control but Mazza is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mazza trying to control from half guard but Campion is working away. Mazza seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mazza thows a huge punch but Campion dodges it nicely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mazza scores with a nice strike. Campion lands with a good body shot. Mazza loads up on a big right hand but Campion slips the punch. Campion swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mazza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Campion avoids it really well and circles away. Campion misses with a body shot.
Mazza uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Mazza closes the distance and clinches up with Campion, looking for a takedown. Mazza pushes Campion against the cage but Campion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mazza sets himself, and Campion steps forward looking for the clinch! Mazza avoids it this time. Sloppy strikes from Mazza. Those never looked like landing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mazza. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lou Mazza will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gregory Campion's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Campion throws a right and a left that Mazza avoids nicely. A little feinted left hand from Mazza on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Campion rushes Mazza and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Campion escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mazza misses with a takedown attempt and Campion counters with a stiff right hand. Campion throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Campion has a takedown stuffed. Mazza shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Campion's guard. Campion keeping full guard, as Mazza tries to pass. Mazza wants to control from the top but Campion keeps moving. Lou Mazza overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campion wants to get back to his feet but Mazza is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Campion working for submissions but it's allowed Mazza to get to half guard.

Campion wants to control but Mazza is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mazza is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Campion doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mazza. Campion is looking to improve his position.

Mazza is just content to waste time from the top position. Campion takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Mazza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mazza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Campion's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Campion misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mazza dives in for a single leg takedown but Campion sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Campion instigates a clinch. Campion dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Campion. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Campion stalling.

A close second round but Gregory Campion will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Gregory Campion's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Mazza takes a knee to the side of the body. Campion ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Campion no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Campion looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Campion looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mazza not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mazza preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mazza trying to control but Campion is working from the bottom. Mazza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Campion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Campion wants it to stay on the feet. Mazza tries to sprawl but Campion drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Campion content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Campion with the ground and pound but Mazza uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campion with a flurry of punches that miss. Campion in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mazza is trying to control the position but Campion postures up. Mazza keeping moving, preventing Campion from controlling successfully. Mazza trying to control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Campion looking to sit in guard and control but Mazza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Campion. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Campion is trying to keep Mazza in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Campion controls Mazza momentarily but Mazza frees himself. Campion being controlled here, momentarily. Campion has an active guard here but Mazza has managed to pass into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mazza prevents Campion from standing back up.
