Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Gracia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracia comes to the cage accompanied by Cucurucucu Paloma. Lynch has chosen War by Hed Pe as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Luis Gracia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Lynch! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gracia feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gracia scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Gracia with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Gracia postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gracia throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lynch works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lynch is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gracia throwing strikes from guard but Lynch blocks nicely. Our spies down at at Feed'em To The Lions inform us that Lynch has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Gracia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gracia drops back looking for a leg! Lynch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lynch manages to kick Gracia off! Gracia jumps back into Lynch's guard. Lynch is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gracia presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracia gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracia passes to side control. Lynch takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Gracia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lynch regains half guard. Lynch wants to get back to his feet.
Gracia really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gracia lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Gracia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lynch wants to control but Gracia is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gracia drops an elbow to the side of Lynch's head. Gracia winds up and cracks Lynch with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Gracia works his way into full mount! Gracia is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lynch can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lynch is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracia has a good base and remains in mount. Gracia lands with some strikes.
It looks like Lucas Lynch has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lynch has left one of his arms exposed and Gracia doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Lynch screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Luis Gracia! Luis Gracia decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
