Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Deangelo Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamil Magomedov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magomedov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Garner's guard.

Garner looking for a guillotine here but Magomedov defends easily.

Garner keeping moving, preventing Magomedov from controlling successfully.
Magomedov lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Magomedov cracks Garner with a solid left hand.
Magomedov scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Garner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Magomedov defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magomedov is stalling in the full guard.

Garner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Magomedov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Magomedov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Magomedov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Magomedov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Magomedov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Magomedov cracks Garner with a solid left hand.

Garner is rocked!
Garner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Magomedov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Garner's head.
Oh Garner is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Garner throws his legs up looking for a submission but Magomedov uses it to pass to side control.
A big shot lands for Magomedov! That's hurt Garner! Will he recover? Magomedov fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
