Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yang Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yang Lei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Davis!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Davis.
Lei looks to land a combination. Davis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Davis loads up on a big right hand but Lei slips the punch.
Davis throws a good cross that connects.
Lei lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
No joy there for Lei, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lei or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis, which made it look bad.
Davis gets tackled into the cage by Lei. Lei maintains the clinch.
Lei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lei tries to bum rush Davis with a series of wild strikes but Davis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck for Lei with that takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davis lands a nice hook to Lei's body. Lei takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lei moves away from the strike by Davis.
Lei went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Nice uppercut there from Davis.
Good standup being displayed there by Davis as he connects with a hook.
Davis sizes up Lei with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
John Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lei on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Davis works Lei's body with a nice hook.
Davis lands a left and a right that send Lei crashing to the mat, dazed. Davis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Lei is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davis connects with a body shot.
Davis lands with a nice body punch.
Davis lands with an overhand left.
Lei is rocked!
Lei drops his hands momentarily. Davis doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Lei staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Lei doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Davis!
