Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Easton Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks needs to keep his hands up - Shaw had a free shot at his head there.
Shaw ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Brooks misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Shaw to counter with a crisp jab.
Shaw keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brooks.
Brooks has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Brooks throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Shaw to counter with a crisp jab.
Brooks throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shaw connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Brooks misses with a hook
and Brooks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brooks throws a poor cross that misses
and Shaw counters with a nice uppercut.
Brooks throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Shaw tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Brooks misses with a hook
and Shaw counters with a stiff right hand.
Shaw has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The fighters circling - Brooks throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Shaw lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Easton Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brooks throws an off balance right hand
and Shaw connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shaw blocks a jab.
Shaw looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Brooks lands a jab to the nose.
Brooks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Shaw uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brooks.

Brooks throws an off balance right hand
and Shaw counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brooks misses with an uppercut
and Shaw counters with a stiff right hand.
Brooks misses with an uppercut. Shaw saw that one coming.
Nice uppercut lands for Brooks. That snapped Shaw's head back.
Shaw uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brooks.
And Shaw tries to counter it with a takedown but Brooks pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Shaw fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Brooks throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Shaw counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shaw.

Shaw is sitting in close to Brooks's body. Brooks has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Shaw is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Shaw is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Brooks.
