Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dale La Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Kaufmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). La Grande comes to the cage accompanied by What are you waiting FOR!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dale La Grande! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aaron Kaufmann! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaufmann drives through with a takedown into La Grande's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kaufmann sitting in guard here, content to control. Kaufmann should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kaufmann works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kaufmann keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. La Grande is refusing to be controlled, as Kaufmann sits in half guard. Kaufmann tries to stand but can't do so whilst La Grande controls his leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. La Grande tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kaufmann manages to move to mount!
La Grande on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if La Grande tries to get out of the position. Kaufmann wants to stand but La Grande is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaufmann working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Kaufmann jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but La Grande manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kaufmann wants to control but La Grande is keeping him busy. Kaufmann misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kaufmann tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Kaufmann goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, La Grande has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kaufmann but great work by La Grande.
That's two minutes gone in the round. La Grande tries to stand but Kaufmann is controlling his head. You can see the frustration on Kaufmann's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kaufmann tries to bench press La Grande off him but La Grande keeps the position. Kaufmann is trying to get back to his feet. Kaufmann manages to get back to half guard. La Grande wants to stand up but Kaufmann is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaufmann is trying to maintain the position but La Grande is very close to passing his half guard. La Grande knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kaufmann on the ground. Kaufmann gets full guard. Kaufmann working a defensive guard but La Grande manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kaufmann is looking for a sweep. La Grande wants to stand but Kaufmann is controlling his arm. Kaufmann can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaufmann striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kaufmann can't do much from the bottom here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kaufmann pushes La Grande away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, La Grande gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. La Grande fails with the takedown. La Grande tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kaufmann sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten La Grande somewhat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! La Grande blocks a head kick by Kaufmann.
La Grande drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kaufmann sprawls and moves away. La Grande closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - La Grande lands in his opponent's guard. Kaufmann is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Kaufmann dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kaufmann throws a sloppy head kick and La Grande moves out of range easily. La Grande fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kaufmann avoids it really well and circles away. A slow jab from Kaufmann misses its intended target. La Grande dives in for a single leg takedown but Kaufmann sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. La Grande shoots for a takedown but Kaufmann saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dale La Grande. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kaufmann looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kaufmann is working for a kimura but La Grande is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kaufmann wants to free his trapped foot but La Grande is holding on for dear life with his legs. La Grande is looking to escape. Kaufmann controlling the action here. Kaufmann wants to stand but La Grande has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Kaufmann is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kaufmann is trying to control the action in half guard but La Grande is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kaufmann slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kaufmann tries to close the distance and clinch but La Grande swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. La Grande shoots for a takedown but Kaufmann saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. La Grande tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kaufmann swivels and escapes. La Grande gets a double leg takedown into Kaufmann's guard. Kaufmann looking to control.
La Grande wants to get up but he can't break Kaufmann's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaufmann is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Kaufmann escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. La Grande gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. La Grande has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. La Grande tries to stand but Kaufmann is controlling from the bottom. Kaufmann has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think La Grande should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kaufmann has tightened it up now! La Grande should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
