Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yuzan Yakuza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bertil Bengtsson!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yakuza throws a hook but Bengtsson avoids it easily.
Yakuza gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bengtsson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Yakuza moves out of range of the strikes.
Yakuza jabs Bengtsson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Yakuza lands a slapping body shot.
Bengtsson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bengtsson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Yakuza lands a nice hook to Bengtsson's body. Bengtsson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yakuza just misses with a punch to the body.
Bengtsson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Yakuza misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bengtsson counters with a crisp one two that drops Yakuza! Bengtsson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Yakuza to his feet! Yakuza is in big trouble!
Yakuza is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yakuza throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yakuza misses with a jab to the body
and Bengtsson scores with a counter punch that sends Yakuza to the canvas! Bengtsson smells blood - he's punishing Yakuza with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Yakuza has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bertil Bengtsson!
Bertil Bengtsson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sin City Allstars logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
