Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Joyner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Whaley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Whaley has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mathew Joyner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Whaley!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whaley misses with a few strikes there.
Joyner feinted with a counter takedown.
Whaley blocks a head kick by Joyner.

Whaley moves into the clinch.

Whaley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Whaley tries to clinch but Joyner moves out of range.
Whaley is looking to clinch but Joyner is avoiding it.
Joyner appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A head kick misses from Whaley.
Whaley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Joyner attempts a counter takedown but Whaley avoids it well and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Whaley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Joyner's guard.
Joyner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Whaley is controlling him.

Joyner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whaley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Joyner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Joyner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joyner pulls Whaley in close to his closed guard and prevents Whaley from doing any damage or advancing position.
Joyner wants to stand but Whaley is controlling the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Whaley wants to control from the top but Joyner keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Joyner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Whaley to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Joyner manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Whaley is stalling here.
Joyner can't get the takedown.
Joyner goes for a takedown attempt but Whaley pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Joyner throws a hook to the side of Whaley's head but Whaley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Whaley doesn't manage to clinch there - Joyner circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Joyner stops Whaley from getting back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Joyner is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mathew Joyner will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Bobby Whaley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Whaley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
