Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keith Connor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sergei Laschenko!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Laschenko does no damage.
Laschenko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Laschenko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Laschenko misses with a hook. Connor ducked under it nicely.
Some wild striking there from Laschenko.
Laschenko misses with a double jab
and Connor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Sergei Laschenko has been cut.
Laschenko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Connor scores with a hook.
Laschenko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Connor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Laschenko throws a body kick that misses.
Connor seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Laschenko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Connor throws a body shot but no joy.
Laschenko throws a head kick but Connor moves out of range.
Connor waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Laschenko.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Connor misses with a wild body shot.
Connor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Laschenko has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Connor cracks Laschenko with an uppercut from hell and Laschenko crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Connor's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Laschenko is rocked!
Connor slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Laschenko can't keep his opponent in guard - Connor advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Connor content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Connor passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Connor is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Laschenko has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Laschenko!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Connor has control of Laschenko's left arm, preventing Laschenko from doing any damage.
Connor lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Connor is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Connor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Further stalling from Connor.
Connor looking to sit in guard and control but Laschenko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Connor working a defensive guard here.
Connor has Laschenko pulled in close to control his posture.
Connor lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Laschenko can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Connor controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Connor dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sergei Laschenko's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Laschenko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Connor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Laschenko can do to turn this around?
Laschenko throws a series of punches but Connor moves out of range.
Connor misses with a body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Laschenko! But no joy.
Laschenko is looking to score with low kicks.
Connor is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Laschenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A low kick from Laschenko misses
and Connor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


That has opened up Sergei Laschenko's cut even more.
Connor connects with the punch.
Connor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Keith Connor is winning the standup battle so far.
Connor wobbles Laschenko with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Connor dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Laschenko to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Keith Connor!
