Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moises Osborn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Velasquez! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez looks to land a left hand but Osborn moved out of range nicely. Osborn slips a jab and a cross from Velasquez.
Velasquez swings widly with a right hand
and Osborn counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Velasquez letting Osborn take a breather here. Velasquez tries to break the clinch but Osborn is controlling the position. Velasquez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Velasquez has had enough of the clinch but Osborn keeps him there for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Osborn breaks the clinch.

and Osborn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Velasquez has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Velasquez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Velasquez looks to land a combination but Osborn avoids it well. Osborn is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Velasquez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Velasquez misses with an uppercut. Osborn saw that one coming. Osborn tries to counter with a takedown but Velasquez is quick to defend against it. Velasquez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Osborn was well out of range. Poor timing from Velasquez. Velasquez throws a right and a left that both miss. Osborn is looking to counter punch. Velasquez looks to land a left hand but Osborn moved out of range nicely. Osborn wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Cain Velasquez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Velasquez throws a nice looking combination but Osborn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Osborn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Velasquez throws a shot from downtown. Osborn moves away and avoids it. As Velasquez tries to get set, Osborn tries to push him back and clinch up but Velasquez manages to avoid the attempt. Osborn moves away from the strike by Velasquez. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Osborn has closed the distance and engaged Velasquez in a clinch.

It looks like Moises Osborn has been cut. Osborn ducks under a wild hook from Velasquez. Velasquez throws a nice looking combination but Osborn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Velasquez misses with a body shot.
Velasquez throws a hook but Osborn avoids it easily. Osborn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Velasquez. Velasquez thows a left - swing and a miss! Velasquez looks to land a combination but Osborn avoids it well. It looked like Osborn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasquez with a jab. Velasquez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Osborn moves away. Velasquez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Osborn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Velasquez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Velasquez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Velasquez misses with a straight left. Osborn is looking to counter the offense by Velasquez and move into the clinch. Velasquez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Osborn. Osborn half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Osborn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Velasquez. Velasquez loads up on a big right hand but Osborn slips the punch. Velasquez throws a big shot that misses. Velasquez misses with a straight right. Velasquez is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Velasquez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Osborn seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Velasquez lands a nice hook to Osborn's body. Osborn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Velasquez misses with a body punch
and Osborn counters with a takedown into side control. Velasquez throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Velasquez lands with a good body shot. Velasquez cracks Osborn with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Osborn looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Velasquez finish him?

Velasquez throws an overhand right that lands on Osborn's shoulder, as Osborn tries to avoid the shot. As Velasquez tries to get set, Osborn tries to push him back and clinch up but Velasquez manages to avoid the attempt. Velasquez looks to land a combination but Osborn avoids it well. Osborn ducks under a wild hook from Velasquez. Osborn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Velasquez. Osborn defending well as Velasquez loads up on a big left hand. A quick step to the side and Osborn tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Velasquez dominated that round. The cut man is working on Moises Osborn's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Velasquez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Osborn tries to counter with a takedown but Velasquez is quick to defend against it. Velasquez throws a body shot but no joy. Osborn half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Velasquez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Osborn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Velasquez. Velasquez throws a right and a left that both miss. Osborn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. A big left from Velasquez misses. OH! Osborn has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Velasquez smells blood and charges in for the finish! Velasquez unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Osborn sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Cain Velasquez! A less than humble Cain Velasquez misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
