Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dirt McGirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dirt McGirt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Young! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGirt plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! McGirt rushes Young and presses him up against the cage. Young can't find room to land a body shot as McGirt controls the action.
McGirt misses with a knee strike.
Young should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Young changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McGirt fights it off and pushes away nicely.
McGirt tries to bum rush Young with a series of wild strikes but Young uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McGirt gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. McGirt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Young is controlling him. Young looking to pass the guard. McGirt is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Young wants to control from the top but McGirt keeps moving. Young sitting in guard here, content to control. Young pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McGirt is keeping the position for now. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. McGirt is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Dirt McGirt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGirt closes the distance and pushes Young back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McGirt scores with a knee to the head.

Young can't get the takedown.
Young has McGirt pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McGirt manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Dirt McGirt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Young. McGirt throws a knee to the head but misses.
McGirt controlling the action here for a moment.
McGirt looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGirt looks to throw an elbow but misses. McGirt leaning his opponent against the cage. McGirt gets underhooks to prevent Young's takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A left hand lands to the body for McGirt.
McGirt lands a damaging elbow. A short right hand to the side of the head by McGirt. Young goes for a takedown in the clinch but McGirt prevents it.
Young is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dirt McGirt dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
McGirt has closed the distance and engaged Young in a clinch.

Young wants to take the fight to the mat but McGirt manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Young changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McGirt fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGirt blocking some punches.

Young drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McGirt gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McGirt with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. A head punch on the inside from Young fails to land. McGirt looking to throw knees to the head but Young is blocking nicely.
McGirt is pressed up against the cage. Young has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McGirt down to the mat. McGirt avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. McGirt closes the distance and clinches. Young struggles to land a body shot inside as McGirt controls his hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Young has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McGirt after a bit of a struggle. McGirt is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. McGirt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Young can do to turn this around? Young wants a takedown but no success here.
Young is trying to drag McGirt to the mat but McGirt just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. McGirt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Young.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A short uppercut from McGirt. McGirt lands a knee to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McGirt prevents a takedown attempt there.
McGirt putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Young in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dirt McGirt dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
McGirt drives through and clinches with Young against the cage.

Young is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. McGirt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Young is looking for a takedown. McGirt lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Joe Young has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Young takes an elbow to the forehead. McGirt misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Young.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGirt displaying some good clinch control by pressing Young up against the cage. Young turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Young manages to end up in side control. McGirt bucks up and tries to throw Young off but instead Young has got his back! McGirt is trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Dirt McGirt showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGirt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
