Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snuka has chosen Superfly by Curtis Mayfield as his entrance music. Optimus Prime has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Optimus Prime!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Snuka!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snuka closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Snuka lands in his opponent's guard.
Snuka wants to control from the top but Prime keeps moving.
Prime is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Snuka is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prime slips a nice elbow through Snuka's hands, connecting with Snuka's forehead.
Prime lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Snuka regains full guard. Nicely done.

Snuka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prime gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Snuka looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Snuka is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Prime is aware though and is defending well.
Prime postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Prime cracks Snuka with a solid left hand.
Snuka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Prime postures up and lands a big shot to Snuka's brow.
Prime with a flurry of punches that miss.
Prime is looking to work some ground and pound but Snuka has wrist control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Prime's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Snuka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Prime lands a couple of elbows.

Snuka is rocked!
Prime wants to control from the top but Snuka keeps moving.
Snuka is still in real trouble! Can Prime finish him?
Snuka wants to sweep but no luck.
Prime gets to his feet and stands over Snuka, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Snuka felt that one! Prime unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Snuka from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Optimus Prime!

Jimmy Snuka spoke after the fight, saying 'Well ya can't climb a hill with out breaking some eggs! Or something like that...'.
