Balboa has chosen Burning Heart as his entrance music. Robbie Balboa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez has Balboa up against the cage in a clinch.
Hernandez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Balboa throws a right hand that Hernandez ducks under and follows up with a left that Hernandez also avoids with ease. Hernandez moves forwards but Balboa connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Gustavo Hernandez has been cut. Hernandez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Balboa, pushing him back against the cage. Hernandez turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Balboa is trying to get back to his feet. The referee asks Hernandez politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hernandez prefers to stall for the moment though. Balboa wants to get back to his feet but Hernandez drags him back down. Hernandez is looking to take a break and control but Balboa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hernandez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Balboa, who protects the arm well. Balboa gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hernandez is thwarting Balboa's attempts to control the position. Hernandez is looking to pass Balboa's guard but actually Balboa recovers to full guard. Hernandez stops Balboa from standing up. Balboa striking off his back but it's not causing Hernandez any problems. Balboa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Balboa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Balboa wants to stand up but Hernandez is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Balboa as he avoids it easily. Hernandez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Balboa throws out the jab. Balboa misses with an uppercut. Hernandez saw that one coming. Robbie Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Balboa jabs Hernandez right on the nose. Hernandez blinks but takes it well. Balboa closes the distance but Hernandez moves to the side and Hernandez counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Balboa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Balboa takes an elbow to the forehead. Hernandez breaks from the clinch.
Balboa closes the distance looking to clinch and Hernandez moves into the clinch. Hernandez just leaning against Balboa, taking a breather. Hernandez is trying to drag Balboa to the mat but Balboa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hernandez is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hernandez tries for a takedown but Balboa manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gustavo Hernandez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Balboa has had enough of the clinch but Hernandez keeps him there for the moment. Hernandez lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Balboa is looking to break free of the clinch but Hernandez has double underhooks. Hernandez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Balboa just stands there and leans against the cage. Balboa is trying to break free. Balboa wants to break the clinch but can't.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Balboa. Balboa prevents the takedown attempt.

Balboa wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Balboa is looking to break free of the clinch but Hernandez has double underhooks. Balboa tries for a takedown. No joy.
Balboa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hernandez just stands there and leans against the cage. Balboa stops a takedown attempt from Hernandez.
Hernandez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Balboa is trying to break the clinch but Hernandez has him pressed against the cage. Hernandez keeps control of Balboa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A right hook to the body lands for Balboa.
Balboa fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Balboa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hernandez has him pressed against the cage. Balboa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hernandez fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Balboa closes the distance looking to clinch and Hernandez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Balboa! Hernandez avoids the attempt from Balboa to control. Balboa is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Hernandez is staying active. Hernandez looking to control but Balboa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Balboa regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Balboa manages to escape and get back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Balboa lands a two punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Robbie Balboa will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gustavo Hernandez's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Balboa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hernandez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Balboa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hernandez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Balboa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Balboa and Hernandez goes tumbling to the canvas! Balboa follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Hernandez is rocked! Balboa lands a big elbow - Hernandez is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Balboa!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robbie Balboa!
