Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Blade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Blade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
41 - 23 - 4, fighting out of New York, Frank Sinatra! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blade throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Frank Sinatra has been cut. Blade throws a quick inside leg kick. Sinatra moves out of range of the body kick from Blade.
Blade shoots and misses and Sinatra counters with a stiff right hand. Blade lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sinatra's sensitive parts. Blade wants to land a leg kick but Sinatra is out of range. Sinatra changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Blade lands with a shot to the body. Blade throws a leg kick which misses Sinatra's front leg but catches the back leg as Sinatra tries to avoid it. Blade lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sinatra's sensitive parts. Sinatra blocks a jab. Sinatra is looking for the big counter here. Blade ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sinatra moves away. Jake Blade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sinatra ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sinatra changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Blade thuds his shin into the meat of Sinatra's side. This has been an exciting period of action! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Blade, right into the meat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sinatra blocks a jab. Blade wants to land a leg kick but Sinatra is out of range. Blade walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sinatra checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Jab, jab by Blade - just one landing. Blade bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Blade fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Blade closes the distance and clinches. Sinatra drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sinatra lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Blade backwards. Blade will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sinatra up against the cage. Sinatra scores with a shot to the side of Blade's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blade breaks from the clinch.
Blade connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Danga de danga de dang - Blade scores with a four punch combination! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A chopping leg kick lands by Blade. A nice leg kick lands there from Blade. Blade lands with a hook. Sinatra tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Blade misses with a left hand and Sinatra counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Blade looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Blade throws a leg kick and Sinatra counters with an outside leg kick.
Blade listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Blade swings for the body but Sinatra moves out of range.
Sinatra throws out a counter right but Blade avoids it with no problem. Blade cracks Sinatra with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blade is looking to score with low kicks. Blade pushes Sinatra up against the cage in a clinch. Sinatra works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A bit of stalling here from Sinatra.
Sinatra gets control of Blade's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sinatra will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Blade trying to move into half guard but instead Sinatra has managed to sweep! Sinatra missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sinatra landing with the ground and pound. Blade wants to stand up but Sinatra is controlling him. Sinatra throws a strike but Blade rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sinatra will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sinatra striking off his back. Blade looking to pass the guard. Sinatra throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sinatra is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blade defends well. Sinatra trying to keep a closed guard but Blade is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sinatra throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Blade will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sinatra bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blade's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blade wants to stand up but Sinatra is controlling him. Sinatra distracts Blade with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Blade dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Sinatra's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Frank Sinatra is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blade closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Blade stalling.
Blade is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sinatra can do to turn this around? Blade is defending well against a takedown attempt. Sinatra has Blade pushed against the cage. Sinatra misses with a short punch on the inside. Blade will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sinatra up against the cage. Sinatra is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A hook to the body from Blade.
Sinatra blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sinatra jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blade walks away with a smile on his face. Sinatra gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blade scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Sinatra takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Blade misses with a low kick.
Sinatra drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Blade defends it well. The fight moves into the clinch position. Blade manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Sinatra lands a left hand.
A head punch on the inside from Sinatra fails to land. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sinatra. Blade pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Blade lands a jab to the nose. Blade will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Blade misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sinatra! But no joy. Nice defenses there by Sinatra. Sinatra now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Blade swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sinatra counters with a shoot takedown. Blade fights it but they end up in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sinatra scoring with punches to the head and body. Sinatra trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Blade pulls Sinatra in close to prevent any damage. Sinatra trying to control the position from guard on top but Blade is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sinatra won't allow Blade to get back to his feet. Sinatra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blade swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sinatra throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Blade looking to control.
Blade looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sinatra is one step ahead there. Sinatra in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sinatra wants to control from the top but Blade keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Blade, as that shot connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Blade tries to clinch and Sinatra counters with a stiff right hand. Blade misses with an uppercut. Sinatra saw that one coming. Sinatra looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Sinatra takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Blade tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sinatra swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sinatra drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Blade defends it well. Sinatra has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Blade finds it's way round the side to connect with Sinatra's head. Blade clinches with his opponent.
Jake Blade has scored more points in the clinch so far. Blade blocking some punches.
Sinatra is trying to pull guard but Blade turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Jake Blade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Sinatra. A short right hand to the side of the head by Blade. Blade misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sinatra.
Blade is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Sinatra tries to score a body lock takedown but Blade shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A nice left hand lands by Blade.

Jake Blade dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Frank Sinatra's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
A nice leg kick lands there from Blade. Blade throws an off balance right hand
and Sinatra counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Blade pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sinatra back to the cage. Blade follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Sinatra takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Good standup being displayed there by Blade as he connects with a hook. Jake Blade is winning the standup battle so far. Blade is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sinatra. Blade throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sinatra's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Blade fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sinatra checks it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blade closes the distance but Sinatra moves to the side letting Sinatra counter with a right hand. Blade changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blade moves into the clinch. Sinatra misses with the head strike.
Sinatra gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blade manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sinatra keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Blade trying to control the position but instead, Sinatra has worked for underhooks and has pushed Blade into the cage. Sinatra is trying to drag Blade to the mat but Blade just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Blade misses with a short punch on the inside. Blade fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A short left from Blade. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sinatra has Blade pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sinatra pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Blade tumbling to the mat - Sinatra dives into Blade's guard. Blade has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sinatra has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Blade pushes Sinatra back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Blade will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sinatra up against the cage. Blade stalling against the cage.

Sinatra tries to work over Blade's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Sinatra is trying to pull guard but Blade turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Jake Blade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Sinatra.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blade scores with a shoulder strike. Sinatra blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Blade working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Sinatra turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sinatra manages to end up in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sinatra misses with the ground and pound. Blade is trying to improve his position. Sinatra laying and praying for a moment but Blade takes advantage and regains half guard. Sinatra scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sinatra prevents Blade from improving his position. Sinatra prevents Blade from standing back up.
Frank Sinatra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blade trying to control but Sinatra postures up.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sinatra working the head and body with strikes. Blade looks like he's trying to stand up.
Blade wants to control but Sinatra is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Blade showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blade, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
