The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Anderson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A combination from Anderson does no damage.
Sam Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Anderson landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Anderson tries to score with some ground and pound. Monroe controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Anderson cracks Monroe with a big right hand but Monroe just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
It looks like Reid Monroe has been cut.
Anderson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Monroe to see if he's OK.

Anderson lands a strong strike to the head of Monroe. That's dazed him! Anderson looking to finish here. Monroe is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Anderson lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

After winning the bout, Sam Anderson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
