Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mario Donatello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ortais Gatavs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donatello comes to the cage accompanied by Burning Heart - Journey. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donatello looks to land a right hand but Gatavs moved out of range.
Gatavs unleashes a big counter combination but Donatello bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Donatello throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Donatello pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Donatello looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gatavs throws a series of punches but Donatello moves out of range.
Donatello scores with a jab. Gatavs acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Mario Donatello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gatavs misses with an uppercut. Donatello saw that one coming.
Gatavs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Donatello steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gatavs.

The fighters circling - Gatavs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The fight stays on the outside here - Donatello looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Donatello throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gatavs's waist but Gatavs gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Donatello off to one side.
Donatello throws a head kick that half lands.
Donatello moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Donatello wants to clinch up but Gatavs keeps it at a distance.
Gatavs takes a swing at Donatello 's ribcage but misses.
Gatavs throws a shot from downtown. Donatello moves away and avoids it.
Donatello uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gatavs.
Ortais Gatavs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Donatello closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gatavs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gatavs slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Donatello throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gatavs circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Donatello throws a head kick but Gatavs moves out of range.
Donatello throws a lazy right hand but Gatavs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Donatello throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gatavs's head.
Donatello shoots and misses
and Gatavs counters with a right hand to the body.
Donatello lands with a slapping head kick.
Donatello is breathing heavily.
Donatello looks for a takedown but Gatavs sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Donatello . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Donatello is looking to clinch but Gatavs is avoiding it.
Gatavs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gatavs blocks a jab.
Donatello steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gatavs.
And Donatello counters with a quick kick to the body but Gatavs blocks it.
Donatello doesn't manage to clinch there - Gatavs circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Gatavs misses.

Donatello takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gatavs takes a kick to the side of the head.
Donatello closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gatavs counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A decent looking cross lands there for Gatavs.
Donatello will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gatavs swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Gatavs lands a left and a right that send Donatello crashing to the mat, dazed. Gatavs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Donatello is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gatavs misses with a looping left.
Donatello tries a head kick but it misses.
Gatavs unleashes a big counter combination but Donatello bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Donatello tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gatavs manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gatavs swings for the body but Donatello moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Donatello .
It seemed like Gatavs was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gatavs misses with an uppercut.
Donatello throws a lazy head kick
letting Gatavs counter with a right hand.
Donatello misses with a kick to the body
enabling Gatavs to counter with a crisp jab.
Oh Donatello is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Donatello shoots in for a double leg but Gatavs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
It seemed like Gatavs was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Gatavs counters with a crisp right that sends Donatello to the canvas! Gatavs follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
